Weekend Recap

This is Spencer's first time to wear a bib. We decided he needed to have one on during his recent stomach flu when he couldn't keep much down.

He looked so cute wearing a bib that we pulled out the "My First Valentine's Day" bib that Grandma Shumway got for him. He wore it all day on Valentine's Day to celebrate the occasion!

Our Valentine's Day was fairly uneventful. Jeremy and I exchanged cards and candy. I got the box of chocolates that I requested and Jeremy received a bag of all green peanut M&Ms. Apparently the candy company is claiming that green is the new color of love. I was a little skeptical but figured they would taste the same despite the fact that they were not the typical red and pink M&Ms that I am used to seeing at Valentine's Day. On Valentine's night we ordered take-out from Applebees and enjoyed a movie we had recorded on the DVR.

I guess the movie wasn't eventful enough for Spencer!

Spencer has now become aware of the TV. He will sit for about 30 minutes every now and then and watch television. Here he is kicking back and watching the Food Network with me on Saturday while I did chores.
And on Sunday night he could be found watching American Gladiators with Uncle Preston and Grandpa Shumway. They sprawled out on the floor in front of the TV and enjoyed watching the gladiators knock contestants into the water with huge sticks. Boys will be boys!
