Happy Easter!

Yet another cold Easter for Lubbock this year! Last year we had snow on Easter - in April. I am not sure why the cold, windy weather surprised me. I should just expect it by now.

The rest of our Easter was pretty low key. It was Spencer's first Easter and I find myself longing for future Easters when he is old enough to hunt eggs and enjoy a basket of candy and believe in the Easter bunny. I guess I should not wish him to be older since he is growing so fast as it is and will be that old before I know it.

Despite his apparent lack of understanding/appreciation about the holiday, Grandma and Grandpa Shumway surprised Spencer with a new and exciting toy for Easter - an Exersaucer! I don't doubt that I was more excited about it than Spencer. It is a Baby Einstein "activity center" with all kinds of bells and whistles. It is even bilingual, which Jeremy was impressed with since he aims to teach our children to speak Spanish. I will take lots of pictures once we get it put together and Spencer gets to take it for a test run. Until then, here is what it looks like in the box:

I caught this oh so cute picture of Spencer and Dad catching some Easter shut eye. I couldn't resist posting it - my two boys!

This is Grandpa Davis, Spencer, and cousin Addy at the bi-weekly Davis family dinner on Monday night. Two cute, chunky babies!

I hope for all our friends and family out there that your Easter was peaceful and a wonderful day spent with loved ones!
