Happy Blog-iversary!

Today is the one year anniversary of our blog! I can't believe how much has happened in the past year and how fast time flies! In honor of this anniversary, I would like to recap this past year. Here are some of our blog highlights:

1. My family ended an approximately 18 year strike against family pictures and finally had a professional family photo taken (a nice change from the occasional snapshot). (January 2008)
2. I quit working at Texas Tech to be a stay at home mommy! (February 2008)
3. Spencer grew by leaps and bounds! We blessed him in January, he started getting teeth, made the transistion from baby food to table food, quit drinking a bottle, said his first words, started crawling and is now walking, and a ton of other little things that babies do and parents love to talk about! (this list is in no particular order)
4. We enjoyed a great summer vacation at the Shumway Family cabin in July. We were able to spend time with both the Shumway and Davis families.
5. Jeremy started nursing school and so begins our 5 year journey for him to become a nurse anesthetist. (August 2008)
6. Jeremy and I decided to sell our house and move in with his parents to ease some of our financial burden while he is in nursing school (September 2008). Unfortunately our home STILL has not sold! Hopefully now that the holidays are over someone will make us an offer...
7. After two years of no annual Halloween party, we decided to dust off our entertaining hats and host a pumpkin carving party! (October 2008) It was really fun and is definitely on the calendar again this year.
8. Spencer turned 1! (November 21, 2008) We survived the first year and are loving every minute of our time with him.
9. We had a great Thanksgiving and Christmas this year surrounded by all of our family - both of them!

We feel so blessed for what this last year has brought us. We are grateful for all our loyal friends and family who keep up with our blog and seem interested in our lives. Thank you for your comments and keep them coming! To another great year of blogging - who knows what 2009 will bring...
